Amid the boom of Second Life in 2007, many real life companies were active in the virtual world. As time passed and Second Life is no longer mentioned in the popular media, the vast majority of companies and organizations left Second Life with their own reasons for doing so.
Daniel Voyager is compiling a list of real-world organizations today have an active presence in Second Life, and so far, this list includes 15 companies and organizations with their respective SLurls. Companies like Amazon, IBM and CNN still maintain a presence in Second Life.
